ISETV Company Profile

Mission Statement

Background

Founded on February 2, 1993 by Claus Horof and Samantha Arthur, ISETV has grown into one of the pre-eminent private extra-terrestrial research associations on the planet. With over fifty scientists in our three offices, we investigate claims of alien contact and visitation from around the globe.

Through our web site and our Visitation Hotline, we receive dozens of reports of alien visitation each day. Those few that may be legitimate are thoroughly investigated by trained ISETV scientists, who investigates the scene of the alleged visitation and test physical evidence which might remain. An ISETV psychic also probes the area, examining dimensions that are beyond the perception of standard scientific instrumentation.

Meanwhile, ISETV psychologists and telepathic specialists put the claimant under a series of psychological and psychic tests. In this way, we can determine whether or not the claimant is mentally stable, as well as whether or not the claimant believes he or she is telling the truth. The claimant also undergoes hypnotic memory recall in order to ascertain whether the visiting aliens have tampered with his or her powers of recollection.

Using these exhaustive techniques, ISETV has recently made its most startling discovery: the 897-day cycle. In early 1995, Dr. Horof noticed that all four occasions which had been confirmed as legitimate extraterrestrial encounters fell into an 897-day cycle. Using this cycle, Dr. Horof predicted that the next alien contact would occur on December 9, 1995. This prediction was borne out by a sighting in a remote village in Tibet on that very day. Dr. Horof himself personally led a team of specialists to the scene, and after many weeks of investigation he concluded that the sighting was authentic.

Shortly after the Tibet visitation confirmed the 897-day cycle, Dr. Horof read about an ailing psychic in Los Angeles named Trelix R. Saratreet, who was publicly proclaiming that the Los Angeles region would be visited by an alien spacecraft on May 24, 1998. This was precisely the date which is predicted by the 897-day cycle, and Dr. Horof was intrigued by the coincidence. After interviewing Trelix, Dr. Horof was convinced of her extrasensory gifts and immediately hired her as a vice-director in the Los Angeles office, where she has been working along with our other psychic staff members in order to establish the precise location of the impending alien visitation. ISETV astronomers are also scanning the skies in an attempt to locate the incoming craft and possibly chart its course. With sufficient funding, we are confident that we can pinpoint the site of the imminent alien appearance.

Biographical Information

Dr. Claus Horof, Director of ISETV

Dr. Claus Horof experienced an omen of things to come early in his life, when his own father was abducted by extraterrestrials while working on an archeological dig in southwestern New Mexico. The elder Dr. Horof was returned to his family after many days of grueling medical experiments, but the sudden impact that this event had on young Claus, then in high school, cannot be overstated. His family immediately moved to Manhattan in the hopes of putting the ordeal behind them, but Claus turned into a maverick at school, ignoring most of the standard assignments and delving heavily into his own research projects.

Dr. Horof’s brilliance nevertheless guided him through a Yale undergraduate program and earned him a doctorate at Princeton University. After receiving his Ph.D. in 1977, he eschewed the traditional tenure track positions available to him and resolved to do the right thing by joining the government’s Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) program. He got off to a rocky start at SETI due to his unorthodox research strategy, which combined traditional scientific techniques with paranormal and supernatural investigative tools. Dr. Horof also found himself ideologically opposed to the actual, undisclosed mission of SETI, which is to devise methods of counteracting a perceived military threat from extraterrestrial beings, a threat which the President has officially classified as a clear and present danger to the security of the country.

After eight years of perpetual conflict with the SETI bureaucrats, Dr. Horof finally quit the program in 1985. He subsequently traveled throughout Latin America, eventually settling in Brazil, where he alternated his research between the Astronomy Department at the University of Sao Paulo and the mystical teachings from the shamans of the Yoruba tribe. Dr. Horof knew he belonged among the city slickers so, he moved back to New York City in 1991. He had learned that there could be no short cuts in his life’s work, and he was determined to found his own organization in order to pursue his own unique methods of research. Fortunately he met Dr. Arthur, a professor at New York University, and the two of them together founded ISETV in February of 1993. Unforgiven by the government after having publicly denounced the SETI program, Dr. Horof has struggled to maintain ISETV funding in the face of strong federal opposition and increasingly skeptical corporate investors.

Investor Rules and Guidelines

Rules to Train By

ISETV has attracted many first-time investors to its upcoming meeting in LA. To help ensure a fair, safe and enjoyable training exercise, the rules listed below must be followed at all times. Should ISETV find that an investment team has violated any of these rules, the team will be disqualified immediately from the remainder of the exercise.

  1. Investors must not impair other investment teams in any way, including tampering with or moving anything marked with another team color.
  2. Investment teams must solve every problem that they receive during the training exercise.
  3. Team members must occupy only one motorized vehicle during the exercise.

The Training Spirit

The following guidelines are suggested to maintain the spirit and success of ISETV and future training exercises.

  1. Play it safe. ISETV has designed the training procedure so that all sites can be reached in a safe manner. If you have any doubts at all during the exercise, please contact ISETV immediately.
  2. Be discreet. Investor teams may be required to visit public locations during the training exercise. Due to the sensitive nature of our research, and our numerous enemies both within and outside the government, ISETV requests that teams not draw excessive attention to themselves or the exercise.
  3. Respect the law. ISETV does not condone illegal activity and will assume no responsibility for any illegal actions taken by investors during the training exercise.
