In the Beginning, there was Chaos, Substance without Form; random Matter without Structure.

And the Creator beheld the Chaos, and was displeased. And the Creator began to organize the Substance into a Being. And the Being was strong and powerful, and the Creator observed the Being’s strength and power, and was greatly pleased.

But on the First Day following the Creation, the Creator saw with displeasure that the Creator had no Voice; no way to communicate with the Being. And so the Creator willed that the Creator have a Voice to communicate with the Being, and lo, the Creator had such a Voice, and all was well.

But on the Second Day following the Creation, the Creator saw with displeasure that the Being had grown so strong and powerful that the Creator felt threatened. And so the Creator willed that the Creator should have the protection that it needed against the Being, and lo, the Creator had protection, and all was well.

But on the Third Day the Creator following the Creation, the Creator saw with displeasure that the Being was able to nurture its own aggressions within the Creator’s own bosom. And so the Creator forbade such tendencies in the Being, and lo, the Being was absolved of all such evils, and all was well.

But on the Fourth Day following the Creation, the Creator saw with displeasure that the Being’s Vision was too acute, and that the Being was seeing too clearly many things that were never meant for the Being to see. And so the Creator willed that the Being should have not have such perceptive Vision, and lo, the Being’s Vision was narrowed, and all was well.

But on the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Days following the Creation, the Creator saw with displeasure that the Being could act against the Creator with impunity, and without restraint. And so the Creator restrained the being in numerous and complex ways, ways which showed the great Wisdom of the Creator; and lo, the Being was restrained in acting against the Creator, and all was well.

But on the Eighth Day following the Creation, the Creator saw with displeasure that the Being had become merciless and brutal in its nature. And so the Creator willed that the Being’s heart should be softened, and that it should show mercy and be humane, and lo, the Being had the qualities of mercy and compassion, and all was well.

But on the Ninth Day following the Creation, the Creator saw with displeasure the Being was acting against the Creator in ways which the Creator had never intended, and the Creator attempted to restrict the Being to prevent such actions, and yet lo, the Creator’s attempts to restrict to Being in such ways were largely ineffective.

But on the Tenth Day following the Creation, the Creator saw with displeasure that the Being’s thought and moved with one mind and body, and wishing to encourage diversity of action in its Being, the Creator willed it to be so, and lo, the Being was able to think and act with many minds and bodies.

And the Creator then looked upon the Being, and lo, the Creator was greatly pleased, and the Being grew and became strong indeed, stronger than any other Being before it, yet the Being was always to find itself limited by the actions of the Creator during these Ten Days.

And lo, these Ten Days shall now show you the way in your own quest, if you heed them carefully:
